Information you provide
Share a pattern operates this website from the United States. This policy explains how the website handles information used for browsing, sign-in, bookmarks, submissions and reports. You can contact us at [email protected]. Signing in uses an email address you control. Bookmarks are stored with your account on the server. Submissions include an image, title, category, Free/Paid access type, source link and image-rights confirmation. Reports include a reason and explanation; signed-in reports are associated with the current account. Avoid including sensitive personal information in free text. If you choose crafts (Crochet, Knitting or Sewing) after signing in or later under Email interests, we store your choices and when you saved them, and use them to email you new patterns for those crafts.
Saved patterns and your browser
Sign-in uses a single-use emailed link valid for 15 minutes and server-managed session cookies. Ordinary account sessions have a fixed 30-day lifetime; signing out revokes the current session. Bookmarks are not kept in local storage. If you are not signed in, your browser keeps a short record of the patterns you have opened and when you closed our account suggestion, in local storage on your device. It is used only to decide when to suggest creating an account, is not sent to us, and can be cleared with your browser data. The administrator handles account deletion requests; deletion removes the account, sessions, bookmarks and sign-in credentials and removes account associations from submissions and reports. Deleting an account also removes its email address from our email lists. Referenced submissions and images remain, and free text is reviewed separately rather than automatically rewritten.
Email, images and external services
The service uses Resend for sign-in and first-publication emails, Cloudflare Turnstile for email sign-in checks, and Cloudflare R2 for images and a separate private store for encrypted database backups. These services receive the information needed to deliver emails, check sign-in requests or store and deliver images. Website requests also use network information, including an IP address, for delivery and abuse prevention; raw IP addresses are not retained in the application’s operational logs. Uploaded originals and unpublished images remain private; published display copies use the configured public image domain. Information processed by external providers is subject to their own policies and may be processed outside your country. Operating from the United States does not mean that all provider data is stored there. This page does not send contact messages. Your email address and chosen crafts are added to our own Sendy email lists, which send these emails through Amazon SES. Every email includes an unsubscribe link handled by Sendy; you can also change or clear your choices under Email interests. Unsubscribing does not delete your account. If your email address is on our general newsletter list (shown as Newsletter under Email interests), you can leave it through the unsubscribe link in any email or under Email interests.

Get Pattern opens the current published source through the site’s redirect. Pattern sources and Pinterest are external websites with their own privacy policies and account settings. Review those policies before sharing information or making a purchase. External service providers have their own retention policies; the site’s retention periods do not establish when a provider deletes its copies. For provider policies, see Resend, Cloudflare, Cloudflare Turnstile and Amazon Web Services. If you email us, we receive the address and message you send and use them to respond. Messages held by email providers are separate from the website records described below.
When you follow an affiliate source link, the affiliate network and the destination site may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute a purchase, under their own privacy policies. We do not share your account details with them and receive only aggregate commission reports.
Retention and questions about your information
The configured site rules retain operational/error logs for 30 days without raw IP addresses, email addresses, secrets, tokens or message bodies; management records are retained for 90 days and anonymized on account deletion. Completed task and email technical records are cleared after 30 days; unresolved tasks retain minimal reconciliation metadata. Open reports have no automatic expiry, resolved reports expire 90 days after their latest resolution, and minimal records for a permanently deleted pattern expire after 90 days.
Expired or revoked sessions and consumed, revoked or expired sign-in credentials are physically cleared within 24 hours. Idempotency and view-deduplication records last 24 hours; rate-limit records are cleared within 24 hours after their longest window ends. These periods describe records held by the website and do not establish when external providers delete their copies.
Unreferenced images and unsubmitted uploads become eligible for physical cleanup after 24 hours, normally within the following hour; referenced images in the recycle bin have no automatic expiry. Encrypted database backups are configured to retain successful snapshots for 30 days; automatic daily backups are not yet enabled in this preview. Backup exports include database records, settings and media references; image files, application files and environment configuration files are not backed up. Minimal deletion-replay records last 35 days. Deleted email addresses in older backups age out under that policy, and deletions/anonymization must be replayed before a restoration is exposed. For account deletion or questions about your information, email [email protected] or visit Contact. Include enough information to identify your account or the relevant listing, but do not send sign-in links or other sensitive information.
